Meet the Teacher

My name is Kristen Nash. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development. Upon graduating I continued to work in the field of Early Intervention for a local organization. My 2 years in Early Intervention exposed me to several disabilities while working with children birth to three years of age, each diagnosed with developmental delays. While working I decided to return to school and sought a Master's in Elementary Education in Special Education/Cross-Categorical through the University of Phoenix. During my course work I worked as a habilitation provider for two families with autistic children. Working with special needs children has been a passion of mine for several years, and during my student teaching months it was made extremely clear that education was the field I needed to be in and a field I truly love!

In my free time I like to read and draw. I live with my wonderful husband along with our Great Dane named Bruno and cat named MoJo.

I am looking forward to getting to know each student and their families throughout this school year! It is going to be a great year!
